ATLANTA -- Garrett Gordon, ranked No. 2 among 2012 seniors in the state of Georgia and 32nd nationally, signed a letter-of-intent to play tennis at Georgia Tech during the recently-completed early signing period, head coach Kenny Thorne announced Friday.
"I know Garrett is going to have a great college tennis career," said Thorne. "We definitely want our local talent to come to Georgia Tech, and Garrett is definitely a top player in Georgia as well as a top player in the nation. He understands the advantages that Georgia Tech offers combining excellent academics and athletics. He will excel in both which will continue our great tradition of true student-athletes. We are extremely excited to have him as a major part of our program."
