MARIETTA, Ga. -- The president of Southern Polytechnic State University in Marietta is leaving this summer after 16 years.
Lisa Rossbacher has been named the new president of Humboldt State University in Arcata, Calif.
"During President Rossbacher's tenure, the university experienced unprecedented enrollment growth," said Hank Huckaby, chancellor of the University System of Georgia. "She established strong ties with business and industry, encouraged development of a diverse student body and has been at the forefront of encouraging women to pursue STEM degrees."
Before arriving at SPSU, Rossbacher served in the system's central office as interim executive vice chancellor for academic affairs. She also chaired a task force on online education.
