Bredar was allowing Callihan to room with him while she was going through a divorce.

According to a release, "Mr. Bredar told investigators, he argued with Ms. Callihan "over nothing" before he shot her several times with a .357 revolver." He was arrested on the scene.

Bredar was sentenced to life on Tuesday. After entering his plea and being sentenced, Bredar reportedly apologized "for all the grief this [the murder] has caused."
