Deputies arrest alleged child molester in Cobb County | News
MARIETTA, Ga. -- A man who U.S. Marshals call a "violent child molester" was arrested in Cobb County on Wednesday, September 4.
Ricardo Luis Sullivan will face charges of child molestation and sexual battery. The 27 year old was wanted by the Peachtree City Police Department for several months before being located at work in Austell.
Inspector Gavin Duffy said when deputies found Sullivan around 4:00 Wednesday afternoon, he tried to run away. As they contained him, Sullivan continued to fight. He tried to grab a .410 caliber single shot pistol from his pocket. Deputies found ammunition on Sullivan during the arrest.
Cobb County deputies charged Sullivan with felony obstruction and firearm possession during a felony, Duffy said. Sullivan was also wanted for a burglary that happened in Gwinnett County.
Sullivan was taken to the Cobb County Jail.
