COBB COUNTY, Ga. -- Leanna Harris, the wife of Ross Harris, has filed for divorce. Harris is charged for the hot car death of his toddler.

Lawrence Zimmerman, her attorney, confirmed to 11Alive that she filed for divorce in Cobb County Superior court Wednesday citing irreconcilable differences.

He said, "Leanna has made the decision to file for divorce. This is a private matter and I won't go into any other details at this time."

In the divorce filing, Leanna Harris is asked for a total divorce, that each party maintain their respective personal property and that each person pay for their own debt. She is also asking for their 2012 Toyota Camry and attorney fees if Ross contests the divorce
