Warming shelter in need of supplies | News
MARIETTA, Ga. -- A local shelter says it’s in serious need of supplies to help those seeking shelter from the cold.
MUST Ministries says its Marietta shelter has doubled its capacity in the past few days as a cold snap has moved in. They are providing a place where people can stay warm during the day, and also have opened a warming shelter at night.
They said they’re in immediate need of: military style cots, blankets, under garments, socks, feminine hygiene products. They also need portable breakfast items because there’s no real place to cook or store things (granola bars, instant oatmeal or cereal bowls, milk and juice in individual servings).
Donations can be made to their facility located at 1555 Elizabeth Church Road.
