70-year-old man accused of murder-suicide | News
MARIETTA, Ga. -- A 70-year-old Acworth man and his girlfriend died Sunday morning in what police say was a murder-suicide.
The body of 72-year-old Kay Cornell Janus was found at around 10 a.m. in the garage of her home on Gateview Way in Marietta, according to Marietta Police Officer David Baldwin.
Witnesses told police they heard gunshots and saw Henry Harlan Wooten walking away from Janus' house.
Wooten was found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound at the end of the cul-du-sac, Baldwin said.
Investigators said Wooten and Janus had been in a long-term relationship. They do not yet have a motive in the shooting.
