MARIETTA, Ga. -- Wheeler High School's horticulture program is gearing up for its annual plant sale, which will also be the final sale organized by program founder Dr. Walt Griffith.
Griffith, a Wheeler faculty member, is getting ready to retire after a 52-year teaching career. Prices of the plant sale items have not changed since the program's founding in 1996.
In addition to annuals, perennials, house plants and vegetables, the sale will include antiques, art, garage sale items and more.
The sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Mar. 24 and Mar. 31. It will be located at the greenhouse in front of Wheeler's Magnet Building on South Drive.
