MARIETTA, Ga. -- Christian Taylor is now part of the WellStar Health System family.

The 22-year-old Fayetteville native won the gold medal for the triple jump at the 2012 London Olympics. Now, he plans to travel throughout the WellStar system to visit with patients and promote a healthy lifestyle.

"I'm very excited to embark on this partnership with WellStar Health System," Taylor said in a statement. "To be able to align with such a great system and really make a difference in my hometown community is a dream come true."

Michelle Robinson, WellStar's VP of marketing, PR and internal communications, said she is thrilled to partner up with Taylor.

"Having an Olympic gold medalist serve as an advocate for healthy living is a great way for WellStar to connect with our community," Robinson said. "Christian is a role model for leading an active lifestyle and good sportsmanship."
