Daddy-Daughter Date Night at Chick-fil-A

Daddy-Daughter Date Night at Chick-fil-A

ATLANTA -- The 119 Atlanta-area Chick-fil-A restaurants will host a special Daddy-Daughter Date Night on Saturday, Feb. 5.

Fathers and daughters will be encouraged to spend the evening together, enjoying time in the restaurant and participating in activities.

"One of Chick-fil-A's goals is to promote community connections and enrich the lives of everyone we come in contact with," said Robin Lomax, Chick-fil-A area marketing director. "We understand the importance of father-daughter relationships and want to encourage Atlanta community members to take a break from busy schedules, enjoy their loved ones' company over a meal and celebrate the significant relationship in their lives."

Each Chick-fil-A will celebrate in its own way.

Holiday Help for Cobb County Families in Need

MARIETTA, GA -- Hundreds of Cobb County families live near, at or below the poverty line. They could use a boost, especially during the holidays.

It is estimated that this year will mark the largest Thanksgiving food distribution in the organization's history; it will take nearly 70,000 food items to ensure that every family in need receives the essentials for Thanksgiving.

Registration for Thanks for Giving 2010 will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 6 and Thursday, Oct. 7 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Cobb County Civic Center (548 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, 30060). At this time, families can also sign up for the Cobb Christmas program.

Distribution of food boxes to registered families will be on Friday, Nov. 19 and Saturday, Nov. 20 at Jim R.
