Kennesaw Police Make 32 Underage Drinking Arrests

KENNESAW, GA -- On Wednesday, Dec. 29 at 1:30 a.m., officers from the Kennesaw Police Department were dispatched to 4305 Sentinel Place in reference to a noise complaint.

Upon arriving in the area, officers observed several vehicles parked along the street.

Wednesday, Dec. 15: The Marietta Police Department's Investigative Services Division is investigating a burglary that occured at 75 Ayers Avenue, Marietta, 30060 at approximately 1:30 a.m.

Two unknown black male suspects forced entry into a business through the rear door and were able to flee the location prior to police arrival.

The Marietta Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying the suspects. Anyone with information in this case is asked to call the police at 770-794-5300.

Saturday, Dec. 4: The Cobb County Police Department's Crimes Against Persons Unit investigated an attempted armed robbery that occured at the Windy Hill Bottle Shop (2425 Windy Hill Road, Marietta, 30067).

According to investigators, two men entered the store at 11:35 p.m. and approached the store clerk. One of the males produced a handgun. The store clerk produced a handgun of his own, and all three individuals exchanged gunfire. One of the suspects was struck; the second male fled the store on foot. The clerk was not injured.

The male struck by the gunfire was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased as a result of his injuries. He was identified as 21-year-old Louis George Jr. of College Park.

On Friday, Dec. 10, investigators obtained an arrest warrant for the second male in connection with the incident. The suspect turned himself in on Monday, Dec.

Monday, Dec. 6: At approximately 4:30 p.m., Cobb County Sheriff's Deputies attempted to arrest a suspect charged with Terroristic Threats and Simple Assault.

As deputies approached the residence (1990 Starlight Drive, Marietta, 30062), the suspect, 61-year-old John Joseph Marcinkowski, fled into the house and would not respond to the officer's command to surrender.

Due to the nature of Marcinkowski's charges and the fact that he barricaded himself within the residence, the Cobb County Tactical Operations Unit was deployed to the scene to assist with his arrest. After several hours of unsuccessful negotiations with the suspect, the Unit entered the residence and found Marcinkowski barricaded in a rear bedroom.

The suspect was arrested without incident and taken to the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.

MARIETTA, GA -- On Wednesday, Dec. 8, the Marietta Police Department conducted an alcohol compliance check.

Twenty businesses were checked, seven of which sold alcohol to the underage buyers.

East Cobb Police Need Your Help

Update: On Friday, Nov. 12, investigators obtained an arrest warrant for 26-year-old Darryl Denard Boswell of Atlanta in connection with these incidents at the Avenue East Cobb. Boswell was taken into custody on Saturday, Nov. 13 and charged with three counts of Sexual Battery. He was processed through the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.

On Tuesday, Nov. 9 at approximately 5:25 p.m., a male entered the Southern Soles store at the Avenue East Cobb (4475 Roswell Road, Marietta, 30062).
