Cobb Senior Services staff will host a free viewing of the new documentary titled “Age of Champions,” Monday, July 28. This film is the inspiring story of a group of athletes — a 100-year-old tennis champion, 86-year-old pole vaulter, team of basketball grandmothers and a pair of swimming brothers — all chasing gold at the National Senior Olympics. The 9:30 a.m. showing will be held at Cobb County’s Senior Wellness Center, 1150 Powder Springs St, Marietta, with a special appearance by neurologist Dr. Marshall L. Nash and one of the film’s producers, Tad Ochwat. Nash will give a brief presentation on steps to take to prevent Alzheimer's disease. A continental breakfast will be provided. Registration is required to attend. Contact a nearby Cobb County senior center to register.
